Cyber-thieves have stolen personal data from Yahoo customers which is the biggest hack in history (over a billion users personal data compromised) and it took them three (3) years to realise it. Yahoo laid the blame on state sponsored hackers in August 2013 but has refused to name the country behind it. The company is under criticism by its customer who are furious that Yahoo did not discover the 2013 hack until today. What can users do to protect their account? Yahoo encourages users to visit its Safety Center page for recommendations on how to stay secure online. A team of researchers are working on an artificial intelligence that can predict what will happen in the immediate future based on an image. HOW IT WORKS Previous systems developed to create predictive videos have worked on a frame-by-frame basis, while MIT's system generates all 32 frames simultaneously. The frame-by-frame method creates a larger margin of error, say the researchers. Once the algorithm was able to generate videos, the researchers refined it using a deep-learning method called called 'adversarial learning'. A new groundbreaking app has been developed to track seizures in children. The new app 'Track It' was released on the 29th November on apple store allows patients with epilepsy to record seizure data, keeps logs and also share the information with their doctors. The app is created with a motive to help correct the staggering underestimations of the number of seizures in young epilepsy sufferer. Their database which is the largest in the world for seizure tracking and recording has been logged in more than 1.5 million events in a year period.
