Introducing the Smart Glass
Researcher have designed a pair of smart glasses that automatically focus on whatever the user is looking at. This glasses use liquid-based lenses to allow its users to see both nearby and faraway objects without the need to change frames.
A prototype was earlier unveiled by a team at the University of Utah which propose the end of need of glasses been replaced by people.
'Most people who get reading glasses have to put them on and take them off all the time,' says Mastrangelo, who also is a professor for USTAR, the Utah Science Technology and Research economic development initiative.
Mastrangelo and his colleague Nazmul Hasan, a doctoral student, designed the special lenses with rubbery membranes made of glycerin, a thick colorless liquid found in soap and skin care products.
